JOHNSTOWN, Colo. — For the second day in a row, Roosevelt High School was evacuated due to threats at the school, a Facebook post by the Weld RE-J School District said.

Multiple bomb and shooting threats were reported at the school on Wednesday morning, the district said in its original post. All students at the school were taken to Grace Community Church while the threats were investigated. Letford Elementary School, which is located just a few blocks away, is also on lockout.

Threats were also reported Wednesday against Milliken Middle School and Milliken Elementary School, according to a separate Facebook post by Weld RE-5J School District. Both schools were on lockout status.

In an update around 9:20 Wednesday morning, the district said Johnstown police cleared the high school and said buses would take students back to the school where classes would begin at 9:30. In that same update, the district said lockouts had been lifted at the other schools.

Roosevelt High School was closed Tuesday after the school was evacuated due to a Safe2Tell report – an anonymous reporting tool run by the Colorado Office of the Attorney General.

When threats were made against the school on Tuesday, officers were already on-scene at the high school to supervise a planned student walk-out protesting the suspension of gym teacher Noland Eastin after allegations that he mistreated a student.

Weld RE-J School District is working with Johnstown Police Department to investigate the threats, according to the post.
