PARKER - A new charter school in Parker is opening up with a mission to teach every student a second language.
Global Village Academy is set to open another campus with a new building that it financed on its own.
Students will learn to speak Spanish, Mandarin Chinese or French in an environment where they are immersed in the language 50 percent of the time.
Teachers believe a balanced approach is more effective.
This school is part of a charter school network stretching from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.
