DENVER — The Auraria Higher Education Center is now Auraria Campus.

The college campus in downtown Denver announced the new brand for the campus on Monday.

The new brand launch was timed with the start of school for the three colleges that call Auraria Campus home: Community College of Denver, MSU Denver, and CU Denver.

The legal entity that oversees the campus is still known as the Auraria Higher Education Center, but the change represents its first new branding in 50 years. The school said it also has a new website at aurariacampus.edu.

Auraria Campus said flags and banners are hanging in Larimer Square and on the Larimer Street Bridge to celebrate the launch.

Auraria Campus said it has also unveiled two new murals — "Woven on the Wind" and "Unidos" — along the Auraria stretch of the 5280 Trail.
