FORT COLLINS – An animal rights group traveling across the country to get people to swear off eating meat stopped by the CSU campus Monday.

They're paying students a dollar to watch a four-minute video showing what they call deplorable treatment of animals in American fod production.

FARM coordinator Jillian Lowry says the video is intended to shock, but that its primary purpose is to get people to talk.

"The conversation is a great one to have," she said. "We understand where people are coming from, but we encourage them as intelligent people to make their own decisions, and do their research and follow up on this."

FARM says that after watching the video, more than half of the students said they were willing to make some sort of diet change.
