JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colorado — The Colorado Department of Transportation said all the right lanes of Interstate 70 between Ward Road and Kipling Street have reopened Thursday afternoon due to a crash that involved a semi-truck and a school bus.
According to the Jefferson County School District, 20-25 Stober Elementary school students were on the bus going to Skate City for an extracurricular activity.
Some students suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for further examination, the Wheat Ridge Police Department said in a tweet. As of just after 6 p.m., the children have been reunited with their parents.
It’s unclear what caused the crash.
