DENVER- A Denver Police officer was taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning after a rollover accident in front of the state capitol building.
The crash happened just after midnight at the intersection of Lincoln Street and East 14th Avenue.
A black Acura SUV rolled in the accident and ended up on its roof in the middle of the crosswalk on 14th Avenue. A Denver Police car with damage to its front end was stopped in the intersection.
An officer on scene told 9NEWS no one was injured in the crash, yet an officer was transported to the hospital "as a precaution." Police said it was unclear who was at fault in the accident.
Police shut down Lincoln Street from 13th to 14th Avenues while investigators were on scene.
