LOVELAND - Police say a woman was abducted from the Thompson Valley Town Center parking lot and then forced to drive her own car to Estes Park Thursday evening.
After driving the suspect to Estes Park, investigators say the woman was locked inside the trunk of her blue 2013 Hyundai sedan. She used her cell phone to call 911 from inside the trunk of her car. Officers from the Estes Park Police Department responded to the area around 7:30 pm. They found the keys to the woman's car at the scene and rescued her. She was checked out by medical personnel but was not hurt.
Officers and deputies from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect. They do not have a description of the suspect. At this time investigators don't believe there's a threat to the general public.
