Police continue to search for suspect in hit-and-run that seriously injured bicyclist

"Not only has he ruined his life, he's impacted mine more than any other situation in my whole life, and that's a lot to say," Cindy Geving said.

PARKER, Colo. — Parker Police are looking for a person they suspect was involved in a hit-and-run in early December.

It happened on Parker Road near Plaza Drive just before 8 p.m. Dec. 2. The victim, Cindy Geving, was riding her bike on the crosswalk when she was hit.

"If he would have just waited two more seconds, he would have missed me. It was horrible," Geving said. "The last thing I remember is actually looking over my left shoulder going, 'oh shoot!' because he was right there. There was no place for me to go."

Police released photos of a person they believe is the suspect. They said the person was driving a dark-colored sedan that was missing the back passenger side hubcap.

The pictures have been out for nearly a month, but no arrests have been made.

"Somebody has got to know something about this person," Geving said. "Somebody."

Geving spent two weeks in the hospital and remains in a wheelchair because of the fractures in her leg.

"So I have to have lots of physical therapy. Lots. It's not going to be the month that I thought. It'll be several months before I get back to work, which is sad because I like people," she said.

Geving is thankful to be alive. She knows the intersection of Parker and Plaza Drive has seen a lot of tragedy. She hopes hers is the last case.

"It is a very fast road. I mean, he could have killed me," she said. "Not only has he ruined his life, he's impacted mine more than any other situation in my whole life, and that's a lot to say."

According to Parker Police, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,000 reward for anyone who shares information that leads to an arrest.
