JEFFERSON COUNTY - A 56-year-old Littleton woman is facing charges of stealing nearly $10,000 in funds from Chatfield High School's volleyball booster club while she was the club's treasurer.

In March, the girls volleyball coach called the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to report what appeared to be missing money from the club's account. The coach told authorities she hadn't been able to contact the CSH Spiker's Booster Club treasurer, Kathleen McGrath.

McGrath was the club treasurer between March 2012 and February 2013.

Court documents show $9,976 in purchases and account withdrawals not related to the booster club. The documents show some of the money from the booster club account was used along with McGrath's Costco membership to buy two sets of tires, cigarettes food items and $600 in prepaid cash cards.

McGrath was arrested on March 13 and she posted $5,000 bond. Her first court appearance in Jefferson County is set for March 24.

If convicted she could face up to six years in prison.
