WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A woman was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a fatal shooting in a parking lot Sunday night in Westminster, according to police.
Westminster Police officers responded about 7 p.m. to the 1200 block of West 120th Avenue, which is between North Pecos and Huron streets, and found a man who had been shot.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the shooting stemmed from an argument between people who knew each other, according to police.
Officers arrested Krista Marie Mitchell, 38, on suspicion of:
- Manslaughter
- Second-degree assault
- Felony menacing
The Adams County Coroner's Office will release the name and cause of death of the victim after notification of next of kin.
