Warrant issued for attempted murderer who missed court

A man is on the run after missing court on Friday.
28-year-old Francisco Perez

The Denver District Attorney's office says a man skipped out on hearing his verdict Friday.

Francisco Perez, 28, is now a wanted man after he didn't show up for the conclusion of his trial.

A jury found Perez guilty of four counts of attempted first degree murder, one count of first degree assault and three counts of attempted first degree assault.

In September 2015, Perez fired on four people after an altercation, seriously injuring one of the victims. The incident happened in the 4300 block of Tejon St. in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

Perez was out on bond during his trial, which began on Monday.

The district attorney's office said Perez should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
