NORTHGLENN — A woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run Monday morning in Northglenn that seriously injured a cyclist.

Tina Montoya, 38, was arrested Tuesday, Northglenn police said.

On Monday police said they were looking for a dark-colored SUV in connection with the incident that happened around 7 a.m. that morning.

The cyclist was headed north on Pecos Street when he or she was struck by an SUV that was traveling east on 112th Avenue, Northglenn police said in a news release on Monday. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No additional information about the victim was available as of Wednesday morning.

A nearby camera captured an image of the suspect's vehicle.

The SUV's driver did not stop and continued eastbound on 112th Avenue, police said. Investigators described it as a dark-colored older model SUV.
