NORTHGLENN — A woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run Monday morning in Northglenn that seriously injured a cyclist.
Tina Montoya, 38, was arrested Tuesday, Northglenn police said.
On Monday police said they were looking for a dark-colored SUV in connection with the incident that happened around 7 a.m. that morning.
The cyclist was headed north on Pecos Street when he or she was struck by an SUV that was traveling east on 112th Avenue, Northglenn police said in a news release on Monday. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No additional information about the victim was available as of Wednesday morning.
The SUV's driver did not stop and continued eastbound on 112th Avenue, police said. Investigators described it as a dark-colored older model SUV.
