DENVER – The Denver Police Department released a photo Thursday afternoon of a man who they say is wanted for first-degree murder after teen was stabbed to death outside of a restaurant on East Colfax Avenue.
The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Auviauntea Lescan Mique Evans, is armed and dangerous, according to a crime bulletin.
Evans is a suspect in the death of 17-year-old Reese Grant-Cobb, who was fatally assaulted outside of the Bourbon Grill at 571 E. Colfax Ave. on July 1.
Another suspect, who was not named because he is under 18, has already been taken into custody with help from witness statements.
Grant-Cobb was a recent graduate of DSST Stapleton High School and was slated to attend the University of Northern Colorado in the fall.
It’s unclear what motivated the stabbing, or if the suspects knew Grant-Cobb.
Evans is described as a black man who is 5’7” and 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. You can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
