A man is facing criminal charges after a 13-year-old boy was struck and killed by his pickup truck.
Loveland police say they received a report of an accident involving a truck and a pedestrian in the 4000 block of N. Wilson Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. Friday .
After officers got to the scene, the boy was taken to the hospital and later died.
The driver of the truck, 47-year-old Richard Swanson (pictured), was arrested and is being held for vehicular homicide, a felony, as well as careless driving resulting in death and driving while under the influence of alcohol, both misdemeanors.
