DENVER — Denver Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting at a motel last month.
Tali Frazier, 29, was wanted on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting of Jeramy Silleman, 34, around 1:42 a.m. at the Regis Motel located at 8282 East Colfax Ave. on Sept. 25. This same motel was shut down by the city due to crime days later on Sept. 28.
Police did not release any information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however, the shutdown order for the hotel from the city says that on Sept. 25, a homicide occurred on the premises involving a resident of the hotel shooting an individual through their room door.
The City and County of Denver issued the summary suspension of a lodging facility for the first time to the Regis Motel because police said there’s a problem of ongoing crime.
Police have been conducting narcotics-related investigations since late July, and made several arrests at the motel on Sept. 24 on suspicion of a variety of charges:
- Two people were arrested for suspected narcotics and firearm possession.
- A man was arrested for possession of a weapon by a previous offender and possession of a controlled substance.
- A woman was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon.
- A woman was arrested on unrelated felony warrants.
- A woman who identified herself as the property manager was cited for operating without a lodging license.
Police identified Frazier as a suspect just after 11 a.m. Thursday. On Thursday night, they said he had been taken into custody.
