COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man was found guilty of second-degree murder Monday in the death of a Fountain police officer who fell off a bridge at the end of a chase in February 2023.
Devon Bobian, 33, was charged in June in connection with the death of Officer Julian Becerra. An El Paso County jury on Monday found Bobian guilty of second-degree murder, aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery, according to court records. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Becerra was injured when he fell about 40 feet off a bridge at the end of a pursuit involving Bobian on Feb. 2, 2023, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. He died at the hospital nine days later.
Becerra is survived by his wife Katie and a young daughter. He had been with the Fountain Police Department for four and a half years.
