AURORA, Colo — A suspect has been arrested in connection to a crash that injured two people at an Aurora bus stop last week, the Aurora Police Department said Thursday.
Police said Jerry Mahan Jr., 41, was arrested on suspicion of:
- Leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury (felony)
- Careless driving resulting in injury
- Driving without proof of insurance
- Failing to stop at a red light

The crash happened about 7:35 p.m. Jan. 24 in the area of Colfax Avenue and Moline Street. The two victims were waiting at a bus stop shelter when a driver slammed into them.
According to Aurora Fire Rescue, they were pinned between the car and the shelter walls. One of the victims was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car ran from the scene, according to police.
