DENVER — A man was arrested in connection two men's deaths in north Denver on Tuesday and Wednesday, Denver Police Department said.
Andrew Mutch, 34, was taken into custody Wednesday night on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder.
Officers responded Tuesday morning for the first time near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Washington Street for an outdoor death investigation. That's located just north of the River North (RiNo) area.
Investigators determined that man's death was a homicide, and the death of another man found in the same area a day later was also being investigated as a homicide.
Mutch was identified as a suspect in the deaths, according to police.
Police did not release any additional information on the circumstances surrounding the deaths, citing an active investigation.
The victims were identified as 32-year-old Michael Thompson and 56-year-old Gregory Dupree. Both men died from blunt and sharp force injuries, the Denver Medical Examiner said.
