LOVELAND, Colo. — A man is in jail after reportedly firing gunshots in a fast food drive-thru line.
In a release, the Loveland Police Department said a man reported a shooting had taken place on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Burger King drive-thru located at 5688 N. Garfield Ave.
Police said the victim was in line when he heard two loud noises and noticed the driver of the car behind was resting his arm out the window, holding what seemed to be a handgun.
The victim said the suspect sped off after he drove out of the line.
Two days after the incident, on Feb. 1, police located the suspect's vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was identified as the suspect in the shooting and was arrested, police said.
The suspect was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the following charges:
- Menacing- Intimidation- Weapon
- Prohibited use of weapons
- Reckless endangerment

Larimer County Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
