KUSA — A 13-year-old student at Shadow Ridge Middle School was arrested Monday afternoon following an investigation into a bomb threat that led to an evacuation and canceled classes for the remainder of the day, according to the Thornton Police Department.
Officers conducted a search of the school at around midday due to a reported bomb threat, Thornton police said. Students and staff were loaded onto buses and taken to Adams 12 Five Star Schools offices for pickup.
Police later found containers of clear fluid that turned out to be ethanol alcohol.
The student faces a charge for interference with staff, faculty or students of education institutions, Thornton police said.
That person was not identified by name because he or she is a minor.
Shadow Ridge Middle School is located at 12551 Holly Street.
