"For as long as we can," the family of a 25-year-old man missing since early Saturday morning says they plan on searching the area near Green Mountain, where his phone last registered a location.
Eric Pracht also lives in the area near the Green Mountain Recreation Center, where his sister and cousin are coordinating a search effort, giving fliers to groups to hand out in neighborhoods nearby, as well as having some of them search in fields close by.
"Last time anyone talked to him was when he left a gathering at his home at about midnight on Saturday morning," said Andrew Fitch, Pracht's cousin. "He got into an argument with somebody at the complex, a debate. He was taking out the trash, said he just wanted to walk around the block. He didn't have his shoes on, so he just left northwest from his condo complex."
Lakewood Police is conducting an investigation, but officials don't believe any foul play is involved in Pracht's disappearance.
"It's tough, you know? You just don't know if he's OK. That's the biggest concern for us. That's why we're actively searching for him," Fitch said. "We haven't found anything yet and that's why we're still out here. Lakewood's still conducting their investigation and they kind of turned over the whole searching thing to us at this point."
Pracht's sister, Jerrica Pracht, said his a local cell tower recorded the moment his cell phone turned on several hours after he was last seen, but that no calls or texts were sent from the phone.
However, that information helped them close in on a portion of the Green Mountain area.
Jerrica said they will continue to search as long as they need to, and that the family is grateful for the volunteers who have shown up to help, including firefighters.
Pracht is described as 5-feet 11-inches tall and 150 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lakewood Police at 303-987-7111 and reference case No. 16-030309.
