GOLDEN, Colo. — Golden Police say officers are investigating a shooting during a road rage incident that injured a person early Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the area of US Highway 58 and Washington Avenue for a report of a victim with a gunshot wound.
They were found in their car and transported to the hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening, police said.
The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
Eastbound lanes of Highway 58 were closed while officers investigated.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
