PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A 38-year-old woman is facing new charges after she was accused of having drugs in jail and tried to bribe deputies to dispose of it.
The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office said in a release on Saturday that Gretchen Hessleberg turned herself in Oct. 2 to the Pueblo County jail to serve time for drug possession.
The sheriff's office says on Wednesday, Hessleberg was being searched and tried to remove contraband from her body and hide it in her waistband.
The sheriff's office says she then asked the deputies to get rid of it for money.
Hessleberg is now facing charges of introduction of contraband, bribery and possession of a controlled substance.
