FORT COLLINS - Fort Collins Police are investigating a murder-suicide that happened early Thursday morning.
Police say they found a woman who had been fatally shot at an Eastwood Drive home in east Fort Collins after being called to the area at 4:47 a.m. on a report of suspicious circumstances.
When police entered the home 20 minutes later, they said they found an "older" woman deceased at the scene.
Police told Northern Newsroom Reporter Nick McGill that the woman's husband shot and killed her, and then went to the nearby Edora Pool and Ice Center and killed himself.
There are no additional suspects.
The Larimer County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased once the next of kin is notified.
