AURORA, Colo. — A man found dead in a car Friday near South Peoria Street and East Exposition Avenue in Aurora was involved in an earlier incident in Denver, authorities said Saturday.
According to Officer Anthony Camacho with the Aurora Police Department, officers were called to the 12600 block of East Exposition Drive about 1:10 p.m. Friday to check on an adult man.
When they arrived, Camacho said the officers and paramedics found a man's body in a car in the area.
There was no word on how the man died, but police called his death "suspicious" and were investigating it as a homicide.
The investigation was turned over to the Denver Police Department on Saturday, after it was found that the man's death was related to an incident there. Denver police have not released details on that incident.
Police have not released information on potential suspects, but Camacho said there is no danger to the public.
Anyone who has information about the man's death is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
