Fort Collins police arrested a 26-year-old woman Tuesday after she allegedly displayed a gun during an altercation at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins.
According to police, FRCC student Brittany Schoonover displayed the weapon during an interaction with a faculty member outside of a classroom. The faculty member was able to disarm Schoonover, and no one was injured in the altercation, police said in a news release.
Schoonover was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing, a class 5 felony; possession of a weapon on property of an educational facility, a class 6 felony; interference of an educational facility, a class 1 misdemeanor; and false imprisonment, a class 2 misdemeanor.
She was booked into the Lairmer County Jail without incident, police said, adding that there is no ongoing threat to campus or the community.
