AURORA — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with two rapes, and there's concern that there could be more victims, a news release from the Aurora Police Department said.

DNA led to the arrest of Ble Ghislain Kore, 24, on Oct. 16, police said.

A source told 9Wants to Know that one of the attacks happened on Overland High School property in the Cherry Creek School District. A spokesperson for Cherry Creek Schools would not comment except to say they are referring questions to Aurora police.

On the afternoon of Sept. 13, officers responded to a sex assault involving a 17-year-old girl in the 2100 block of South Vaughn Way. Two days later, officers were notified of another sexual assault involving a different 17-year-old girl that also happened on the afternoon of Sept. 13. The second assault occurred in the 12400 block of East Jewell Ave, the release said.

The two locations are less than a mile away from one another and occurred not far from both Overland High School and Prairie Middle School. Investigators initially did not believe the incidents were related due to discrepancies in the suspect’s description, including the vehicle involved.

Aurora Police Investigators worked with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to expedite DNA testing results and reviewed the Sex Offender Registry for potential leads.

Those DNA results led police to Kore, who's now facing at least two counts of sexual assault, a class 2 felony.

Police said they're concerned for the potential of other victims both in and outside of Aurora and are asking for any additional victims to please come forward by calling Aurora Police Department Sergeant Rudy Herrera at 303-739-6250.
