Woman killed in Denver hit-and-run

DENVER — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on East Alameda Saturday night, the Denver Police Department said. 

Police said the crash happened around 9:15 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Alameda Avenue. The victim died on the scene. She has been identified as Christina Rodriguez, 54.

On Monday, police said the driver was headed westbound on East Alameda Avenue when they struck the woman who crossing the road between South Colorado Boulevard and South Harrison Street.

Police said the driver of the vehicle left the scene without rendering aid or reporting the crash. No description of the driver or vehicle was immediately available.
