Medina Alert deactivated after suspect vehicle in hit-and-run found

Denver Police were looking for a gray 2015 Ford Mustang after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash Friday night.

DENVER — A Medina Alert has been deactivated after the suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian Friday night was found.

Denver Police posted on social media that officers were investigating the crash that happened around 11:45 p.m. in the area of Interstate 25 and Santa Fe Drive. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Just after 2 p.m. Saturday, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said the vehicle the Medina Alert was issued for, a gray 2015 Ford Mustang with Colorado license plates numbered CZDW34, was found. A DPD spokesperson said the car was found in Parker.

The spokesperson said the driver, a woman, was contacted. No arrests have been made as of this publication, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The southbound ramp to I-25 at Santa Fe Drive was closed while police investigated.
