LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Lakewood Police Department are looking for the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Lakewood Friday night.
At around 7:30 p.m. Friday, several 911 calls reported a vehicle hit a pedestrian at Kipling Street and West 23rd Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the Lakewood Police Department.
The spokesperson said the pedestrian died and the driver fled the scene.
A Medina Alert issued by the CBI and Lakewood Police says the suspect vehicle is a 2014 black Chevy Camaro with a Colorado license plate number DWB P87. The car reportedly has damage to its front, is missing a headlight on the driver's side and has a broken windshield.
Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7300.
No further information was shared about the victim or the suspect due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, police said. The spokesperson said the victim's next of kin would be notified before identifying them.
