One person killed, another injured in Fort Collins shooting

Officers responded to a shooting call to find one person injured and another dead.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Police are investigating after they found one person dead and another injured at a Fort Collins home 

Just after 7 a.m. this morning, Fort Collins Police received a call about a shooting at a home in the 6500 block of Lynn Dr. 

Officers responded to the house and said they found an injured man and a woman who was already dead.

Pending notification of the woman's family, the Larimer County Coroner's Office will release the cause and manner of death and the woman's identity. 

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing at this time and detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact Detective Gary Trujillo at 970-416-2645.

Information is received through anonymous Crime Stoppers tips that are received through a secure tips line or through a secure web connection manned by a professional program coordinator. Each caller is assigned a code number for the purpose of ensuring anonymity.
