DENVER — Police in Denver located a vehicle that they believe was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a man earlier this month.

According to a Medina Alert from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the crash happened on Aug. 3 near Federal Boulevard and 1st Avenue. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the victim as Walter Salcido-Luna, 31.

On Aug. 22, police said they were looking for a gray 2011 Dodge Avenger with a temporary Colorado license plate 6338564 related to the crash.

Denver Police said Salcido-Luna was struck by two drivers. The first one hit him while he was on a motorcycle. The second one hit him while he was on the ground. That second vehicle has been located, but it's unknown if police have identified the driver.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 911.
