WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A local martial arts instructor was arrested in Texas and is accused of the sexual assault of a 14-year-old student, police said on Wednesday.
Westminster Police said they were notified in February 2023 about an inappropriate relationship between the girl and her instructor, who was then 19.
After an investigation into the accusations, a warrant was issued for Michael Seo, now 21, on a charge of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust – victim under 15.
On Monday afternoon, Seo was arrested during a traffic stop in Spicewood, Texas, and was taken to the Travis County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition.
A spokesman for Westminster Police said they're "unaware" of other victims. They did not say where Seo worked.
