ENGLEWOOD, Colorado — A man who's considered armed and dangerous is being sought in connection with a stabbing in Englewood early Thursday morning, according to a release from Englewood police.
Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to the area of West Dartmouth Avenue and South Platte River Drive, on a report of a stabbing.
Officers determined that there was an altercation between two men, one of whom had been camping along the South Platte River under the West Dartmouth Avenue Bridge.
The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Delbert Vigil, used some type of edged weapon to stab a 29-year-old man, according to the release.
Vigil had been camping in the area, and the victim had been passing through in order to visit another person who was camping.
The victim was stabbed in the arm and neck and is being treated at Swedish Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Vigil is considered armed and dangerous. If you know where he is or see him contact your local law enforcement agency or dial 911.
