DENVER — One of the three people arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl pleaded guilty Monday to an accessory to a crime charge, according to court documents.
Joseph Chavez, 27, was charged in connection with the death of Jasmine Rivas-Hernandez, who was found dead in an alley in the 1500-block of North Quebec Street on March 26, 2022.

Chavez pleaded guilty to one count of accessory to a crime, and was sentenced to four years in prison. Other charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Chavez was already in custody for an unrelated case when the charges were filed against him in January of this year.

Two other suspects were also charged in connection with Rivas-Hernandez's death.
In June, Shiloh Fresquez, 22, pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to influence a public servant and was sentenced to five years of community corrections.
Robert Solano, 35, is facing a murder charge. His next court appearance in the case is set for Dec. 4.
