DENVER — A 28-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Denver Sunday morning.
Denver Police said at 5:41 a.m. on social media that officers were investigating the shooting in the 8800 block of East Colfax Avenue after they located Benhur Mesfin suffering from a gunshot. Mesfin died at the scene, police said.
Police said on Monday they had identified and contacted people involved in the deadly shooting, but that no one had been arrested as they continue their investigation.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
