ADAMS COUNTY – A man who said his girlfriend was killed when a TV fell on her was convicted of first-degree murder on Thursday, according to the Adams County District Attorney.

Joshua Thomas Bohl, 34, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, Jayme Hosier, 29. Hosier was found dead at the Crestline Motel at 7330 Brighton Road on November 4, 2014.

According to the Adams County District Attorney, Bohl killed Hosier on November 2, 2014 and left her body while he went to stay with his ex-girlfriend in Fort Lupton.

He called police two days later and said that Hosier died when a television set fell on her face. The coroner determined Hosier died of suffocation from blunt force trauma to her neck.

District Attorney Ally Barber said Bohl has a history of domestic violence. He will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. on December 3 at Adams County District Court.
