WELD COUNTY, Colo. — A 53-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after two bodies were found inside of a Weld County home Thursday night.
The bodies of Deborah Lynn Vallejos, 59, and Ruben Alfred Vallejos, 65, were found by deputies conducting a welfare check in a home in the 11000 block of Weld County Road 6 – southeast of Erie. The couple lived at the home, according to the Weld County Coroner.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect as William Roberts. He was arrested late Saturday night, according to the Weld County jail log.
Roberts was officially charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Wednesday. According to charging documents, Roberts is accused of killing Deborah Vallejos and Ruben Vallejos between June 4 and June 6. Their bodies were found on June 6.
Deputies did not say if Roberts knew the two victims. Police have also not said how they died.
Roberts is being held in the Weld County jail without bond. He is due in court on June 20.
