AURORA – A 36-year-old man has been taken into the custody for first-degree murder after a woman was found dead in an Aurora apartment Tuesday morning with multiple stab wounds.
Charles Bowman Anthony is accused of killing 29-year-old Jessica Reese inside of the Cherry Grove East Condominiums at 14434 E. 1st Dr.
Officers first arrived at the condo just before 9 a.m. Tuesday for a welfare check. In an earlier news release, police said they found Reese’s body as well as a living man inside.
It’s unclear if that man was Anthony, though police said Tuesday the man in the apartment was considered a person for interest.
Anthony is being held on no bond at the Arapahoe County Jail.
It's unclear how he knew Reese.
