LOVELAND, Colo. — A man wanted for two road rage shootings in northern Colorado was arrested late Friday in Trindad, the Loveland Police Department said.

In both incidents, police said drivers reported a man in another vehicle shooting at their vehicles while they were driving. It's not clear if either of the vehicles or victims were hit.

Both reports described a vehicle and driver police had attempted to pull over earlier in the day. That driver was later identified as Vanpelt.

On Saturday, detectives from the Loveland Police Department traveled to Trinidad to interview Vanpelt and to collect evidence related to the shootings that happened, police said.

  • Two counts of crime of violence sentence enhancement

Vanpelt is also facing additional charges from Trinidad Police:
