Man accused of hiking naked, exposing himself to women pleads guilty

Glenn Braden faced charges related to incidents along Jefferson County trails between April and August of last year.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo — A man accused of hiking naked and exposing himself to women over a period of several months in Jefferson County last year has pleaded guilty to three counts, according to court records. 

Glenn Braden, 21, was arrested in August 2023 on charges related to incidents that occurred along trails in Jefferson County between April and that month. 

Several women reported that a man, later identified as Braden, slapped their butts. One woman reported that he slapped her butt and then tried to rip her shirt down from the front collar.

According to court records, Braden pleaded guilty Thursday to

  • One count of attempted sexual contact, a felony
  • One count of sexual contact, a felony
  • One count of indecent exposure, a misdemeanor 

Fourteen other counts were dismissed as part of the plea agreement, according to court records.

After his arrest in 2023, Braden agreed to speak with investigators and said he typically hiked around dusk on Mondays and Tuesdays, which were his days off from work, an arrest affidavit from the JCSO said

Braden mentioned that he hiked in the parks where the incidents occurred and would purposefully expose himself to women, according to the affidavit. He admitted the women reacted with "disgust" but said he felt "compelled" to commit "these sexual acts" and could "not help his compulsion," according to the affidavit.

Braden is set to be sentenced on Sept. 30.
