LONGMONT, Colo. — Police said a man made off with more than $10,000 worth of necklaces from a Longmont jewelry store this month.
The man entered The Jeweler store at 2130 Main St. around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17, Longmont Police said. He asked an employee to see five necklaces that were inside a display case.
The man then asked to see another set of necklaces from the bottom shelf, and as the employee bent over to retrieve them, the man snatched the first set of necklaces and ran from the building, police said.
He got into a silver Jeep Wrangler with no plates, according to police.
Rudy Rodriguez with The Jeweler in Longmont said another jewelry store along Main Street in Longmont, Classic Gold, was hit Thursday night. Rodriguez said the man works with a partner. One drives while the other steals, Rodriguez said.
Anyone with information about the jewelry store thefts is asked to call Longmont Police at 303-651-8501 and reference report 24-495.
