LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A man faces nearly two dozen burglary and theft charges related to a string of burglaries in Larimer County dating back to September of last year.
At the time, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office was notified about a jet ski that had been stolen in the south Loveland area. Over the next months, the sheriff's office said they received additional reports about stolen items in the Berthoud and south Loveland areas.
Most of the thefts occurred at businesses and construction sites in the area.
Deputies eventually identified Craig Clemons as a suspect and said they found evidence linking him to incidents in the Berthoud, Johnstown, and south Loveland areas. Deputies and investigators served a search warrant on his property and found several items that were known to be stolen.
Clemons faces 23 counts including burglary, theft, trespassing, and criminal mischief.
Investigators discovered several additional items they believe were stolen. Victims of an unreported steal in the past several months are encouraged to fill out a form, especially if the missing items include building materials, home appliances, or construction tools. Investigators will make contact if there's a potential match.
Those using the form are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible, including serial numbers or identifying marks, to assist with returning items to their rightful owners. Anyone with information about incidents involving this suspect should contact Investigator Bryce Hinrichs at 970-498-5542.
