LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Video indicates a driver likely intentionally hit a pedestrian before stealing from the injured person and driving away, the Lakewood Police Department said Thursday.
They are still looking for the person responsible for the hit-and-run crash that happened on Oct. 5 in the 1500-block of Depew Street.
According to police, video shows that the driver may have deliberately accelerated in order to hit the woman, who was seriously hurt in the crash.
The driver then stopped, took the victim's belongings, and left the area, police said.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a silver Jeep with an unknown license plate. It has aftermarket rims, a lift system, tinted windows, and black trim, according to police.
They did not provide a description of the driver.
