GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo — Jayson Boebert, ex-husband of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of reckless endangerment, according to court records.
Jayson Boebert initially faced six criminal charges, most of them misdemeanors, from two incidents in January in Garfield County, according to court records previously obtained by 9NEWS.
On Jan. 6, Jayson and Lauren Boebert were involved in an altercation at The Miner's Claim Restaurant in Silt. In that case, he was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree trespass and obstruction of a peace officer.
After that altercation, Jayson Boebert claimed Lauren Boebert hit him — a claim he later recanted and that police eventually said was unfounded. Jayson Boebert was uncooperative when police responded to the restaurant, which led to the charges, court documents say.

He also faced charges of harassment, third-degree assault and possessing a gun while drunk for a Jan. 9 incident involving another family member.
According to court records, Jayson Boebert pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor. The other charges in both cases were dismissed as part of the plea agreement, according to court records. He was sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation.
In May 2023, Lauren Boebert filed for divorce from Jayson after nearly 18 years. She cited "irreconcilable differences." The divorce was finalized in October 2023, according to the Colorado Sun.
The congresswoman switched districts in December to escape a tough reelection bid, and cited family turmoil as another reason for her move from Silt to Windsor in her new district.
