I-76 reopens after hit-and-run, truck fire

The driver of a box truck left the scene of the crash, Colorado State Patrol said.

FORT MORGAN, Colo. — Interstate 76 is back open after a hit-and-run crash and semi-truck fire near Fort Morgan Sunday afternoon, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Troopers said the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. about two miles west of Fort Morgan. It involved a box truck and a semi-truck. Troopers said the driver of the box truck left the scene. 

The semi-truck caught fire after the crash, CSP said. The driver was not injured. 

The westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours after the crash. The interstate reopened around 5:30 p.m.
