Homicide investigation underway in Adams County after disturbance

One man died and another was injured after a report of a disturbance early on Feb. 8.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — One person died and another was injured after a disturbance was reported last Thursday in Adams County.

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to the area near West 72nd Avenue and Zuni Street around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 8 for a possible stabbing. Once there, deputies found two victims, both men.

One of the men died at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Additional details were not released.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
