2 pedestrians injured after Aurora hit-and-run

Aurora Police said this auto-pedestrian crash happened after 2 a.m. Saturday morning near the 2300 block of South Havana Street.

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police are investigating a hit-and-run that injured two men early Saturday morning. 

The crash involving a car and the pedestrians happened near the 2300 block of South Havana Street, police said via X, formerly known as Twitter. A spokesperson for the department said they received the call about the incident after 2 a.m.

Police said a white sedan with multiple passengers hit the two men as it traveled down an alleyway. Both men were taken to a hospital— one of them with life-threatening injuries, per the post. The injuries sustained by the other victim were not considered life-threatening.

The car did not remain at the scene, police said.

According to the spokesperson, police believe the suspects are three men. The department is actively searching for the people involved and an investigation is underway.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
