GOLDEN, Colo. — The head of a drug trafficking operation in the Denver metro area has been sentenced to 21 years in prison.
According to the First Judicial District Attorney's Office, Fermin Flores-Rosales pleaded guilty in April to violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, conspiracy to distribute heroin, money laundering and being a special offender.
The DA's office said the organization operated a call center for ordering and delivering heroin from April to Dec. 2017. Flores-Rosales coordinated the importation of heroin into Colorado and wired large amounts of money from drug sales to Mexico.
Flores-Rosales will be deported after he serves his prison sentence, according to the DA's office. He has already been deported four times.
